As I go through my pumkin beer collection I keep finding new ones I like. Top three:
1- Epic/DC Brau fermentation without representation
    2- Midnight sun TREAT
    3- DFH punkin

Have about 10 more still to try and a Ignis Fatuus by Bruery on the way.

I recently had a New Glarus Pumpkin Pie Lust which I though was really good, a bigger flavor than most non-imperial pumpkin beers achieve

Pumpkinator just came out yesterday from Saint Arnold and it is always solid. Upslope was good, and not so much of a fan of Pumpking too artificial tasting!

I'm loving the Williamsburg Alewerks that came as an extra in a trade. A local, Roughtail, had a pretty good low-point pumpkin latte stout. Wasn't a fan of Shipyard.

Dogfish Head Punkin is a really solid 4 pack of 12 oz bottles at a fair price (best price I've seen in VT is $8.99),and at 7% packs a nice punch for a non Imperial. Pumpkin meat and brown sugar in the DFH makes for a great ale that tastes more like a hoppy pumpkin and less like a spice and vanilla extract bomb. Just bought a 6 pack of Wolaver's organic Pumpkin Ale based on their 2014 Gold Medal win at the GABF, very solid despite the dismal ratings on BA.

Williamsburg Alewerks is BOMB! The real roasted pumpkin (not puree like 98% of them) and well blended spices make it very tough to top: believe me, I've been trying!

Different kind of fruit. Pumpkins may bear seeds, and have some kind of protective cover, but they aren't sweet/tart/"fruity". They're savory, if anything.

I buy Night Owl every time I see it - fantastic.

This year I got to try Pumpking for the first time. Thought it was pretty good but didn't blow me away. DFH was ok, I've had that before and don't get the hype or the pricetag on that one. Lakefront is always solid.

The best new one I had this year was the Shipyard Smashed. I hate their Pumpkinhead but the Smashed was killer.

Too spicy as in like cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, etc.? I would expect the Warlock to be more boozy than Pumking, at least thats what I hope
