Ok... you guys were right about the Pumking. I'm blown away by this one... I've never given a 5/5 to a beer so easily. I simply can't imagine a more Utopian representative of the style than this. This is ideal.

Haha yep, it seems the general consensus in Pumking. I paid $8 for a bomber of it and would gladly pay that price over and over again.

Williamsburg Alewerks and Schlafly are like pumpkin pie in a bottle.

Harpoon kicked off their new Imperial 22oz selections a couple weeks ago with their Imperial Pumpkin Stout. Tried it after getting it in last week.....could be my new favorite. Probably going to be pretty limited so if you see it, gotta be a must buy!

Same with CCB Good Gourd and Pumking. You can almost taste the dollop of whip cream...

Good gourd is number one and it isn't even close. It's followed by treat, pumking, and weyerbacher pumpkin.

The idea of pumpkin in a beer appeals to me. The spices....damn that shit to hell.

The only beer style I will not drink. Frankly, I can't see how you all do

Seems like the top three is pretty clear:

    Southern Tier Pumking
    Cigar City Good Gourde
    Schlafly Pumpkin Ale

MBC Screamin' Pumpkin was the best pumpkin beer made. Too bad they went bankrupt and closed down. Next closest thing I've had has been Braaaiins! Pumpkin Ale for Zombies by Spring House Brewing. It's far better than the mediocre Pumpking.

BeerThirty's Pumplestiltsbeer is BY FAR better than sub-par (insert top pumpkin beer here)! Too bad no one bought their beers and they never made a dime. They woulda been HUGE!

I'm blown away.....again. I've always liked fall seasonals and pumpkin beers but somehow I had never tried this until last year. Last year I missed the bottles and only drank it on draft a few times and loved it. I just bought a case and drank the first bottle.

I would say no other beer captures the essence of a season better than this one. Sure, when I think of winter I think of Sierra Neveda Celebration Ale but that has almost nothing to do with the actual taste of the beer and everything to do with the label art and the fact that I drink it all winter every winter. Pumking on the other hand smells and tastes like fall in a bottle. It smells like the fall candle my girlfriend buys from Bath and Body Works and tastes like Pumkin Pie. Sure it's a bit sweet and dessertish, but it's perfect for a Sunday night, late in October, watching football. I'll put the rest away and drink it when that times comes. Actually I better get another case, I will want to save a couple for Thanksgiving and one until next year.

Sorry to beat a dead horse on the pumkin beer threads but seriously this is the only thing I want to talk about besides NFL training camps and preseason and I do that on a different website.
