None of them. Why do people lose their minds over these?

Oh and in other news this is the first case of bombers I have ever bought (I generally don't like them) so can I be in the next BA team photo?

Southern Tier Pumking. Had it for the first time a couple days ago. My goodness. I now have 9 more waiting to add fall delight at my beckoning.

Good point. Perhaps the next pumpkin thread should be entitled "Pumking IS firstweekofAugust (and it's worse this year than last)"

Is it just me or is this years drinking much different than the past few years? Much more medicinal spice

Haven't had one yet but in my experience, their quality control is of the highest tolerance. I've never had Southern Tier beer that didn't taste EXACTLY how I remembered it.

No I normally agree, which is why I'm a tad shocked. 2011-2012 was pretty much the same. All the blackwater series on point, year to year. I am about to open a '12 bottle side by side...

That's a good way to unfairly verify it tastes different. There's no way it'll taste the same with a year on it, even if it did fresh.

Like I mentioned, I opened '11 & '12 they were on par when '12 came out... year of age not making much of a difference. Just saying with '13, I get less the "pumpkin pie with whip cream" flavor and more all spice, sharper, medicinal flavors. They ramped up production to where 10 local stores built a fort out of pumking boxes, enough for them to take photos of. Where in the past I had to drive 100 miles to get a 1/6 bbl because my local store dropped the ball on my MONTHS prior special order... let alone getting 22ozs.

I had my first this season and it was a little 'dry cinnamon' like. It tasted like I bit into a spoonful of cinnamon. Still good and tasty, but, like I said, not as amazing as I'd hoped

I love fall but do not understand this rush to enjoy pumpkin beers in July/August.
I guess I am a purest and like to drink fresh harvest ale rather then frozen mash left over from last year.

I'd argue pretty hard for Schlafly Pumpkin. With that said, some of my drinking partners, whose tastes I respect, have said it's overly seasoned with dry spices.
