I've never tried any on tap. I have my favorites from the bottle, but it's not a style I'd drink on a regular basis, or as a session beer. The sports bar where I frequent on a regular basis has Shipyard Pumpkin on tap. From the reviews, it is not a popular beer. However, during the last two Sunday football days, I noticed that guys and gals were ordering it en masse. Yesterday I went to my favorite beer store and in the front of the store, they were selling 12 pack bottles for $20.99. The guy at the desk told me that Shipyard Pumpkin was flying out the door. I've never tried it. I've had ST Pumpking and enjoyed it. Not a fan of Shipyard beers, so should I give it a go, or try other Pumpkins?? Are there other low abv pumpkins (Shipyard is 4.7%) tastier??
A good friend had DFH Pumpkin on tap and said it was a winner. But... it was 7%. I am also open to imperial pumpkin beers. I'm in NY. Thanks guys!!

I like some pumpkin beers and I like ST but I had Shipyard the other night and did not enjoy it. It seemed like a lackluster mix of spices, guess it just wasn't my liking.

I like the Shipyard BBA Smashed Pumpkin the 2013 was the best IMO. There Smashed Pumpkin is IMO far ahead of there Pumpkin Head.

If it were up to me, I'd go for other beers. In my experience, DFH and Schlafly are both really solid (however if you're stuck on a lower ABV they might not fit).

    Ithaca Country Pumpkin is 6.3%
I've also enjoyed Southampton Pumpkin Ale at 5.5%
Ballast Point Pumpkin Down is an interesting take on the style (though, IMO not too pumpkin heavy) and clocks in at 5.8%

    Cheers!
