I don't like pumpkin beers nearly as much as I used to. Like a lot of people I've become a hophead somewhere along the line and I think all the IPAs have ruined my palette for anything remotely sweet. It's kinda sad really, I used to be a balanced beer drinker, but now I find I'm "forcing" myself to drink some malty or Belgian beers just so I don't lose taste for them completely (please don't cry for me, I'll be alright).

Anyways, I digress. As far as pie goes, I think Weyerbacher Imp. pumpkin is my favorite. Super drinkable for its abv and has all the spices you'd want but doesn't go too far. For squashy Smuttynose I think is by far the best. It tastes like real actual pumpkin with minimal spicyness and has a good hop bite. I'll take the Smutty over any other pumpkin if I have the option. I used to love ST Pumking, but now I think any more than about 4oz is just too much.

Here's a good/funny article on pumpkin beer I was reading which gave me the idea to post on this thread. Doesn't really have much to do with anything, but a good read. Cheers. http://theconcourse.deadspin.com/stop-whining-about-pumpkin-beer-1632484122
