With the season coming to an abrupt end, (disto' for most stopped a week ago, and sales die after Halloween) I'm wondering which gourds you will hide in your closet? Or which ones are good to stash away?

I know Pumking and Warlock posts are inbound, but I'm looking for something else?

The only one I've put up so far is Whole Hog. I'm thinking of getting an Imperial Pumpkin Smash, but the fresh version was kind of weird.

I've got a Weyerbacher Imperial Pumpkin or whatever they call it that's been in the fridge for at least 3 - 4 years maybe? I may have to check the date, but I'd certainly say it's all kinds of old. I may crack it open, and if so I'll report back here with the date and result.

Update. 2013 Weyerbacher Imperial Pumpkin is not a good thing. Just, no.

I just had a year old Lakefront brandy barrel imperial pumpkin that was fantastic. The vanilla in it had faded but its initial sweetness had toned down. The brandy and pumpkin where still very present. That being said in my opinion most pumpkins change very little and usually get worse past a year. The ones I have had success ether started overly malty and toned down or had an adjunct that faded over time.
