pumpkin stout recipe critique

    I don't think 2 lbs of lactose in 10 gallons of stout is too much. My favorite Sweet Stout uses 1.4 lbs of lactose in a 5.1 gallon batch. It is a sweet stout, but if I were going to make a pumpkin stout, I would definitely aim for sweet.

    So many varying opinions! Ah!!!! Okay well my original plan was 2 pds maybe I will stick with it. I want to make a good beer but admittedly dark beers are my Achilles heel.

    Oops, yes, 2 pounds for 10 gallons is fine....didn't realize the recipe was for 10. Still, I wouldn't have 2 pounds of carapils on top of that personally....

    Ya I took carapils out cause I figure I wouldn't need it for head.

    [​IMG] Surprisingly wonderful. Full bodied, chocolate, roasted malt, and the slightest dash of pumpkin spice.
