Pumpkinator

I opened a '13 a couple weeks ago and it was fine. Quite good, in fact.

 

Agreed. The '13 I had last weekend was awesome.

 

Your best bet would be to hit up the suburbs, I found one bottle left last night at an HEB in Sugar Land that someone tried to hide behind a bunch of bombers of Saint Arnolds Amber.

Even if you don't see it ask! I've seen Kroger locations where they put Pumpkinator (and Divine Reserve) behind the customer service counter so you have to ask for it, and they can limit how much people buy.

 

Gotta throw in for DFW, the Krogerbbear my house in Keller gets a bunch. No limit, I snagged a few bottles. May try one this week and save one for Holloween

 

For those of you in the Houston/Sugar Land/Missouri City area that are still looking for Pumpkinator.... i just found a location that still has a good amount left. The Kroger in Missouri City (Highway 6/Murphy Road).

I was just in there a couple days ago and there was none. They must have put these out later than most.

 

The crappy HEB in Katy at Mason and Highland Knolls still has a good amount in the refrigerated bomber section.

 

D@Q on Richmond has plenty as of 10 minutes ago.

 

That is a crappy HEB and no one would think to look there. Thanks for the lead. Just picked up 4 bottles from there 20 minutes ago.

 

Did you drink them one at a time or pour them all at once and have them side by side?

I have 11-14 and a BB6 that I'm planning on sharing with some of my boys soon.

 

We popped open all 3 bottles and a DR9. We just poured them in the order we wanted, and there was not that many people so we could go back and have it again to compare.

 

They all got opened at once and we all just kinda went at it. I went DR9 12, 13, 14.

 

SHHHHHHHH...when I worked out in Katy I was able to get every Fun Series and Pumpkinator releases there with ease.

 

Lots of people must have seen my post. I dropped into that Kroger this morning on my way to work to pick up something for lunch and all the Pumpkinator was gone.

I had a '12 a couple of weeks ago, and it had definitely died off a bit...

I have an '11 in the fridge right now that I'm planning on having today or tomorrow...

haven't popped a '13 in a while now, but I believe I had one in July and remember it being pretty damn tasty at the 8-9 month mark... better than the '12 I had a couple of week ago...

the resulting math: I only bought 2 bottles this year instead of my normal 4-5... from my tastings that sweet point is the 9-15 month range in the bottle... definitely over bought in the past...

just my 2 cents...

now who wants to trade me some more DR12 for vintage pumpkinator? - it was bought at the store and put into a fridge within 45 seconds bro!

Specs Westlake (DFW) just got another case so maybe there's a 2nd round hitting.

 

Eh, might be a little too late at this point. The big HEB on 288/Broadway always sells out really quickly.
