I really didn't think there was much of a difference between fresh Pumpkinator and fresh DR9. Just my opinion though.

Hard to say fresh vs fresh since they were about a year apart. Aged DR9 vs fresh Pumpkinator, from what little I did remember, I preferred the DR9. I thought the base stout was fuller in flavor and balanced with the spices more. It also seemed to have a thicker mouthfeel but maybe it was just me.

Actually, my favorite were the 2 combined 50/50 due to the reasons above and because the spices had mellowed quite a bit in the DR9 after a year which I also prefer

DR9 aged beautifully, but I remember it being very heavy on the spices when it was fresh, and fresh Pumpkinator was the same. Again, that's just my palate though.

First time hearing about this one. Wonder if it will be available in Indiana?

It won't. St. Arnold has two markets, Houston and not Houston, basically they mainly focus on the Houston Market but they do ship to rest of Texas and some parts of Louisiana, but that is about it.

Dear god I am ready for this beer to be out. I was only able to get one bottle last year

Sounds like a vertical tasting is in order.

Specs across the board ran out in about two hours last year. People were stalking HEBS and the like..it was ridiculous. I spent hours going store to store and managed 6 bottles. That being said, I live up in Spring...and we got it at a dozen reasonably close stores.

There is a pocket in Cali that sees the Divine Reserves and Pumpkinator.

Anybody know if they do kegs? If I did 1 keg a year I think it would be Pumpkinator.

I was thinking the same when this year's release drops. Only thing is, it's my last DR9, but I'm sure there's plenty more floating around.

They do kegs and casks for bars and restaurants, but good luck getting one for your kegerator at home. I don't want to say it's impossible, but it pretty much is.

About the same chances as me finding Pliny the Elder here in Austin.

Oh and because of our beer laws, no stores can ship it either (unlike RR beers). You're gonna have to trade for it.
