Had the 2011 a month or so back. I enjoyed it better than fresh, mellowed out the spices and tasted great.
    But that's just me...

I'll most likely miss this years batch since I will be in MI until over a week after release.

It's sad that a beer like this is a "trample your own grandmother to get some" beer like DR is. Actually, most every special release is getting to be that way. lol

Hmmm. I'm trying to get at least two or three bottles for myself but If I'm able to get some extras I could probably save you one, if you live in the Houston area. I work offshore and wouldn't be able to get it to you for a couple weeks after the release though.

Also, I'm not trying to get that many bottles to try and hoard it or hold out for trades. I genuinely want it for personal consumption or a birthday gift to my brother.

It'd be appreciated. I live in west Houston.

I bought all of 1 last year. It's not something I'd hoard, but I like it about once a year. I still have last years as I had a DR9 last year instead. lol

Not a problem. I live South of Houston so we could come up with a meeting point if I'm able to get some extra bottles. This will be my first time trying this beer as I'm pretty new to craft beers but I want a couple bottles just in case it is as good as I have heard it is.

We need to get you to a bottle share. That's where the magic happens.

Yeah I would love to go to one it is just hard to make it with my work schedule. Also, I'm not sure I really have anything special to contribute yet. I have two bottles of Weasel Rodeo and two bottles of Black Butte XXIV but that is all I have for limited release items. Everything else in my fridge is normal everyday stuff.

You can bring food as well. It is "where the magic happens".

Food can be equally as magical!

And I'll drink a BBXXIV any day of the week. :grinning:

Don't worry about that. I know the list can look like a who's who of limited releases sometimes, but it does not have to be. Last time Tom brought a vertical of Sisyphus, I have brought growlers of new releases that just hit the Houston seen as well. Just bring something you enjoy, and think others will (that is not served at the bar). Snacks like meat and cheese plates are always a good choice as well. There is always way to much at these things anyway. I hear ya on the work schedule, always a pain for me as well.

I would gladly like to help out as well, I usually have no problems finding big releases and will probably end up putting more bottles of Pumpkinator down than I actually buy, I guess I am just lucky. I live down in League City but work in Houston/ Montrose area.

No worries there, I wouldn't bother trying to get it at D&Q, thats just asking for to be disappointment because everybody follows him on Twitter and stuff is gone within the hour.

Also, I spoke to him today and he expects to get 7-8 cases this year.

Hey guys, new to BA but wanted to get as much information on Pumpkinator as possible being Houston resident as well. Went to the Specs downtown and they mentioned they would likely have in on shelves on the 16th since they get shipments on Tuesday and Fridays. I was a tad conflicted since St. Arnolds says the 15th but Specs says the other day! I really don't want to miss out on this years batch seeing how fast DR 12 ran out (150 cases in 20 minutes). I just want to know which day would be suitable to take off.

Any of you guys got any tips for a guy that lives in the Med district? Is downtown the best place to possible acquire some? (Thinking of procuring 4 bombers).

    Cheers!
