Grabbed two bombers and a 12 oz of bourbon barrel aged today. Go me! Didn’t even know it was out yet.

Surprised that barrel aged is still floating around.

Had my BA version last night as I couldn’t wait. I thought it was a total mess with the barrel and spice conflicting each other and not complimenting. Maybe it needs to sit for a while to cool off but after that I’m not chasing any more BA version this year. I’ll stick with the standard.

Ha! Went there after work today in case it was the place. Didn't see any Pumpkinator in the bombers and special/seasonal release shelves.

Alamo City Liquor posted both Pumpkinators on their IG this evening. I'll swing by the downtown location tomorrow and grab some.

Anyone else think Basic Becky is the better beer? All respect to Pumpkinator, it's the OG, but I like Basic Becky more, better body and flavor. I haven't seen Becky on shelves yet though. Did I miss it or maybe they aren't doing it this year?

They're both pumpkin spiced imperial stouts. So i won't say it's comparing Apples and Oranges....rather, maybe Green Apples to Red Apples.
Basic Betty is certainly a much more 'modern' take on imperial stouts.
Sort of like saying, what is better Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, or take your pick of the 'modern' highly hopped pale ales. Yes, both are in the pale ale style....but still hard to compare.
