I've played with beers over the years that I could age for long enough to open, say, on my daughter's first day of college or 21st birthday (hopefully not the same day...). Bell's Expedition seemed to be fading a bit at 5 years. I haven't done more than 8 on a World Wide Stout yet, but I have some put away from 2018-2012. My latest thought: Black Tuesday. Monster booze bomb, comes waxed...what's the longest you have put on a bottle?

I don't purposefully cellar anything. However, I accidentally tucked away a 2007 Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout in the basement. I drank it last winter and it was delicious.

I feel like BA stouts will get worse with age.. They are already aged, so I feel like the flavor will change at the expense of the barrel character.

Mind you, this opinion is based on absolutely nothing.

Agreed. I recently opened an 07-08 and it was fantastic.

What about and I'm drawing a blank on the exact name. Hoping someone can help me here. (Schimalaus) or something close to that. I know it's only brewed for like a week in December by monks. I have 4 in the cellar but at work now. Supposedly you can cellar these for a looooong time.

Samichlaus, and yes you can age that beer for a very long time. Brewed in a castle, but not by monks.

I'm one of the reps for the brand, so it made it a bit easier for me to recognize. Cheers.

Going to be hard pressed to get a lot of feedback on Black Tuesday specifically, mainly because I'm pretty sure the first batch came out in 2009. That being said, I would think that it would hold up for damn near ever.

Great idea. I'm gonna try it. I'll report back in 15 years....
