    If you have to ask....
But in all seriousness it will take another BA dark lord or something of equal value around the trade list. More than likely if you had something that would pull it you would know.

This PVW DL sounds good. Let me know if you find a spare.

It's pretty interesting how polarizing Dark Lord is. A few of the BA variants are at the very top of the whale lists (non-retired) and can command hundreds of dollars worth of beer in a trade, yet there's a huge group of people that hate on the base beer as if Rogue brewed it.

I don't care for DL. I've had a few and it's not my thing, way too sweet. But I bet it's a different beer after spending some time PVW barrels.

Start with a Bourbon Vanilla Dark Lord, then add 5 tan whales in the BCBVS range.

i think the silliest thing regarding the base DL is the label says it pours viscous like motor oil and every time I had regular dl it was as thin as water . i

    Lololololol, wat?

What vintages have you had? The last couple haven't been quite as thick as previous vintages, but if there is anything DL still has going for it, it is viscosity....

Oh shit boy, if this is what you think then I'm about to knock your socks off when I show you that scientific data I've been collecting over the past few months. Good lord, you're going to drop dead when you see this year's Hunahpu's numbers.

Tsk, Tsk. Typical regional homer you are, my dear friend.

I don't need your advanced statistics thankyouverymuch. I can see with my keen scout's eye that Miguel Cabrera had a better year than Mike Trout.

    Wait wut?

Srs though, I'll allow for the idea that it's not as viscous as I perceive it, but thin and watery??? That sounds much more like CW Bourbon Barrel Stout than Dark Lord.

Just realize, like I did long ago :slight_frown: , that you will never be able to have mega whalz like this..Then move on...

People go apeshit for ba DL but these beers will be made again or a suitable substitute will be found. give the bruery 5 more years and they will be releasing a case of 42 different variations on Black Tuesday to all 12.5 million RS, HS, PS and any other type of S member you can think of. Just look at CR batch one was commanding whales the day it was released, b2 can be had for cantillon shelf turds

The value of this bottle has little to do with whether it gets made again or whether a "suitable replacement" is found.

Please point me to the person who doesn't want whales for his/her CR b1.

Does not exist in my world and I'm perfectly content.

If one manifests itself in my possession, I'm trading it.

Unless I get some at a bottle share I have no doubt I will never try this beer

Not saying B1 does not go for whales now, but I am saying B2(3-4x the bottles) is easily obtainable

You really ought to be able to get one with something like Fou Foune. It's not trivially attainable, but compared to the first bottling it's easy.

We'll see what FFF does this year, but based on how many BA turds they've been flinging around lately I wouldn't be shocked if that happened to BADL this year.
