About 4 years here Pyramid blew up and was super popular here and I love all their brews. Then, suddenly, it was gone. They even used to have an app that told you where it was being sold near you but that has dissipated. Anyone in NJ see Pyramid for sale?
Pyramid is owned by North American Breweries (parent company of Genesee, Magic Hat, Labatt USA, etc.) and is usually distributed by the same distributor as those brands. In central Jersey, AB houses Ritchie & Page and High Grade are the Pyramid distributors- thus, every liquor store in those counties deal with one of those two AB distributors and can get Pyramid brands. Not sure about the rest of the state, could always check with NAB. (Although I'm guessing they might disagree with your belief that it was "super popular" - I wouldn't be surprised if it they pulled the brand out of the state).
I believe Pyramid is out of business. http://www.brewbound.com/news/sweet...ipment-plans-to-build-second-brewery-out-west
That Brewbound article is about Sweetwater buying Pyramid's closed Berkeley CA brewery's equipment. Pyramid still has their breweries in Portland, OR and Seattle. Some of the Pyramid beers sold in the East are brewed at NAB's Genesee brewery in Rochester, NY.
