Well looks like Pyramid breweries are coming back in the market with JJ Taylor. The beers are decent but the only one to really sell was the Apricot Ale. It is going to be interesting to see how the other styles do in the Twin Cities market.

Apricot sounds like something my wife might like. Thanks for the heads up.

It was a dog back when we distributed it. They did have a Raspberry that wasn't bad.

They brew some pretty decent beers overall, and were among a handful of micros we had access to in the area during the mid-1990s that survived into the 'Craft Era' (which isn't indicative of anything other than luck and corporate restructuring, I suppose).

Their Scotch Ale was memorable from about 2001 or 2002. No peat in that one, either ; )

You could probably still find some Thunderhead around.

I could swear I got a bottle of the Apricot at Traders Joe's a summer or two ago?

I kind of have a soft spot in my beer drinking heart for Pyramid. Back in 1995 I was on a backpacking trip in Washington state my buddies car broke down and we were stuck for a day in Seattle. Anyway we go to the bars and drank our share of Redhooks and Pyramids. That trip really got me into exploring different beers.

    That can't be fresh anymore!!!

Thunderhead is an ok IPA and the price is nice, but there is better in the same range. I am interested in this Outburst Imperial IPA, a year round DIPA and I would assume Pyramids prices wouldn't be bad on this.
