Hey Folks, I should also mention that this coming week is Most Arrogant Bar week down at RIBCO. On Wednesday, they are having a big Arrogant Bastard night on Wednesday the 14th. For $20, you get a pint of Arrogant Bastard, a tshirt, and a glass(price was set by Stone, not by RIBCO)

Also, there's scuttlebutt of Ryan's new toy being unveiled that night(or even as early as Monday). There's never been anything like it in the QC beer scene.

 

The first Randall to be used in a QC bar will make it's debut tonight. Arrogant Bastard poured through a double Randall filled with Chipotle peppers and whole leaf Cascade hops.

 

Is there anywhere on the Illinois side of the QC that carries Dogfish Head?

Random question I know...but I've always gone to Chicago when looking to stock up on Dogfish, as I was under the assumption that was about the only area in IL that carries it. A buddy of mine though talked about seeing it "all over" in Moline, however. Any truth to this?

 

I haven't seen it in Moline, East Mo, or Rock Island for years. That said, I haven't looked for it either.

 

The Liquor Box in Moline used to have Dogfish Head all the time until they closed. I haven't seen any in the area since. (Although I'm only there every 3-4 months, so perhaps other locals might no better than I!)

Just a reminder - CBS/KBS/FBS breakfast on Saturday morning. Also, Great River has a golden keg of their Abbey at 5pm on Saturday. Drunken fun for all!

I didn't see any when I was down at the John Deere Hyvee on Sunday. I'm not sure if we'll end up getting it or not.

 

Not sure if anyone interested (or on the fence) about RIBCO Founders Breakfast would want a pair of cheap tix. My buddy bailed and unfortunately I'm not up for a solo road trip. Send me a message and we'll work out the details.

 

Head's up, folks:

RIBCO is rolling out Alesmith and Deschutes on Wednesday. Mirror Pond, Black Butte, Red Chair, and Chainbreaker from Deschutes on tap, and, From Alesmith, Speedway Stout, X and Grand Cru. Black Butte is going to go through the randall with some coffee and bourbon infused vanilla beans.

Wednesdays are also $10 all you can eat wings nights, 50% off 12oz bottle nights, and $4 bomber nights.

 

Another bump for another RIBCO night. Bell's Night is next Wednesday(3/6), Black Note, Goes to 11, and Hopslam on tap. Hopslam will also be going through the Randall. Expo and Hell Hath bottles as well

 

As of last night, Black Note, Double Cream Stout, and Hopslam were all still on. Had a couple Black Note last night, and made a "Black and Blue Note" - about half and half Black Note and Tres. Think I might have to have another tonight.


On April 20th, RIBCO is going to have "Stout Wars"
