Quad vs. Strong Dark

    Some say there is a difference, but others say they are virtually the same, considering their flavor profiles and alcohol content.

    Same goes with some Saisons and Tripels.

    Makes me wonder if I can call Trois Pistoles a quad without getting my hand slapped.

    I completely disagree on Saisons/Tripels. I can't even fathom how you could mix those two up (at least when they are faithful to the style)

    Hey, I just had a stronger saison the other night that did not appear to be spiced all to well, or very fruity in that matter, that reminded me of a Tripel; twas very yeasty and had a presence of alcohol.

    Probably wasn't too true to the style.

    No difference between the two. There's also no difference between porter and stout, but that's a battle (or maybe even a war) for another day.
