I've been trading for about a year and lately I've really been wanting to try some New Glarus stuff. Is it easily attainable in Wisconsin? How hard is it to trade for?

I'd love to snag a bottle of Belgian Red and Raspberry Tart, but I'd rather not show my ass with poor trade proposals if that stuff is hard to get your hands on. :grinning:

Hopefully this is the right forum for this question as well. I didn't want to start anything in the ISO:FT forum until I had an idea.

    Thanks for any info!

It's very easily attainable. Much of it is at every liquor store, grocery store, gas station, etc. The larger bottles of their fruit beers are $9.99 or $8.99 at the cheapest. Hope this helps

To get a response in the trade forum you may need to offer some nice locals. If you're looking for any sours, the R&Ds (brewery release only) you will have to work for it. Any of the fruit beers or seasonals should not be too difficult by any means.

Yeah I'm not too concerned with getting any of their limited stuff. Raspberry Tart and Belgian Red would be ideal.

Let me know, I can send those 750s your way along with anything else you may be interested in.

Go to the website and look at the production calendar. Should give you a good idea of what is readily tradeable!

Also get serendipity and thank me later (and wild sour while you're at it)

anyone who tries to rip you for these should be shot

any Wisconsinite can stop at just about any gas station, mom & pop store, chain grocery, etc. and get these beers for $10 or less.

Easily. Have even seen the 750's as low as $7.99 at times. This time of year, they're as available as PBR

Also, the gift sets (2 750's and glassware) are roughtly $25 retail and while not in every store, also easily found in most cities.

6ers of NG are around $8, 4packs of the Unplugged are around $10.

No idea. I've just seen the sets at Woodman's, never really looked to see what beers were in them.

When you get some of these beers, you won't regret it. The suggestions in this thread to also get Serendipity and Strawberry Rhubarb are good choices too.

the short of it is, if NG releases it for distro, and it's a current release, you shouldn't be trading away higher than solid shelf locals. the r&d series are brewery-only special one-offs that vary in value from zero to whale.
