Question about BXLBeerFest 2017

I am curious about this as well. It says exclusive brews, but how exclusive is exclusive. The dutch version of the website didn't give any more information about it.

I did notice btw that buying the bottles does not include entrance to the festival.

 

First thing I hear about it, if it would be something special from Cantillon I might get the bottles but not keen on spending that much if I don't really know what I'm getting..

 

They'd have to be 6 pretty interesting bottles to justify that price. (Then again if it saves you hunting around to shops and whatnot, maybe worth it on those grounds.)

"Yes, a New Anzegem IPA going in our Limited Festival Beer pack. Brouwerij 't Verzet made an IPA with local wheat and Belgian hop. The young rebels from 't Verzet satisfying your need for hops!
Want a pack including beers from Cantillon(info will be revealed next Tuesday)"

Also, if you can't wait for tomorrow for Cantillon, a while back there was a photo of Jean in some field of flowers, that is supposedly to do with their bottle. More info tomorrow though I suppose.

What's brewing? A NAIPA!
Brouwerij 't Verzet brewed a New Anzegem IPA for us, with local grown wheat and Belgian hop. It will be included in the Limited Edition Festival Pack which is only available by pre-order and to be picked up at the festival.
Want such a pack containing 6 x 75cl beers from Brasserie Du Brabant, De Dochter van de Korenaar, Brasserie Thiriez, Brasserie Cantillon(we'll release more info on the Cantillon beer coming Tuesday!), Brouwerij Alvinne and Brouwerij 't Verzet?

 

My guess is that the Cantillon will be a lambic with mead wort (Filipendula ulmaria)

Finally we can announce the final beer for our Limited Festival Beer Pack.
Brasserie Cantillon made us a lambic with hand plucked Meadowsweet, Filipendula ulmaria or 'Reine des Prés' as it's so beautifully named in French. Meadowsweet has a fragrant aroma and is known to have some healing benefits. You know that Cantillon lambic is good for your health so this one will be extra good. We advice a glass of good lambic a day

 

Cantillon Reine des Prés, should be interesting.

 

They sold out before and reopend. So it might happen again, just keep an eye on the tickets.

 

I checked with them on Facebook, they're fine with babies at least.

 

In Belgium we don't see anything wrong with bringing children to alcohol-related events. So there's probably no policy, because no one thought about having one.

 

I'll be in Belgium during that time as well but likely going to the fest on Saturday.

 

Anyone who's been or else researched it, is the shop accessible without an entry ticket? I'd like to swing by to see but don't have time to hit the festival itself.
