Quick query about 'Gansett retro cans, which they use for the 12 oz.'ers of their flagship lager sometimes.

I read on the website that they are doing the 1980 can (with a boat design) next. But my local place (in Portland, Maine) has the 1953 cans (all text design with "Narragansett" in green). Are both in circulation right now? Anybody know?

    Thanks!

If I'm not mistaken (surely there is someone from Gansett on here) the "Jaws" cans will be late June/Early July. Perfect for my trip to the Cape. Hope I don't get eaten by a Great White.

Would love to see the Jaws cans again.

'53 cans came out three or fours months ago followed by the '80 sailing can in March/April. And the '75 cans just started popping up too in the last couple weeks. I've seen them in my area in 30 packs mostly. Guess they've been going a little crazy with retro design releases lately. I suspect the '75 can will be in circulation for the remainder of the summer given that its the 40th anniversary of Jaws this year.

Any word yet on '75 cans?

The website says the 75 cans willl be available all summer in 12, 18 and 30 packs. I'll be in in Gloucester over the weekend, so I plan on trying to find these. Is Narragansett pretty easy to find? Is it priced along the lines of other AALs or more like craft?

It's pretty darn easy to find in the adjacent states (CT and MA). The price is in between AAL and craft. You get 16 oz cans though, which is nice. Honestly it's pretty decent bang for your buck if you know which ones to get. I enjoyed the Bohemian Pilsner and the Autocrat stout. The others like the regular Lager and Del's Shandy aren't the best, though I would take the Lager over Bud any day.

Lager is priced along the lines of Budweiser but is way better. Crafts are on the affordable end for crafts, mostly. As stated, most offerings are in pint cans.
