Hi everyone. I'm new here and fairly new to craft beer. I'm going up to Vermont this weekend to and want to know about the etiquette on trading beers. I know Alchemist will be sold out by Saturday, but would anyone know where to go and trade for some rare beers in the state?

I'll be bringing some rarer stuff myself like Zombie Dust, Dark Lord, KBS and whatever else I can get my hands on. I plan on going to Hill Farmstead too.

I'm writing to see if it's appropriate to bring outside beer to these places. I have friends that are brewers and they it should be fine but thought I would run it by the locals.

    Thanks for you help.

I imagine you'd have trouble actually effecting a trade with someone who's arrived at the same place without any expectation of trading with someone. I don't regularly drive to breweries (or anywhere) with tradeable bottles.

If you did happen to meet with someone who does happen to be in a position to trade, I can't imagine why anyone else would have a problem with it, brewer or not.

If you're traveling from MA through NH on 95 let me know, can trade HT for ZD
