I want to start trading, but at this point in time I'm not really sure what I want.

Lets say I want to find someone in FL to trade for CC (Which I do). Is it possible to find people who trade based on dollar amount? 60 + shipping for 60 + shipping?

The rules say no open ended requests and no trading for anything other than beer for beer. But I don't see anything for spending amounts. I'm just curious if this type of trade happens and if so how well?

I suggest you state on your ft title something to the effect of: $60 worth of Ohio locals for $60 worth of ______locals. Also shipping usually washes its self so no need to add that to the equation.

I agree with the above post, maybe start a trade with something specific you want to try. If you're into trying CCB brews keep up with current releases and start from there. Then offer something you have access to that's of a like quality and cost. A lot of traders will expand on a trade or trade with you again. As mentioned the shipping is a wash but keep that dollar amount in your budget, that's the really expensive part of trading. Also throw in some nice extras to keep your trading partner interested in future trades. My key point is to build a relationship for this kind of trade.
