Exactly how long did this last in the city and how big of a pain in the ass was King Hery to attain?

Not much and very. Didn't get any, then again, wasn't really trying to.

Didn't make it to shelves; Not impossible but was a pretty big pain in the ass - although after tasting it any and all effort was worth it.

I'm in the burbs. King Henry and BCBS came out around the same time. While I saw BCBS 4-packs on the shelves for a couple of days at one store, I never saw KH on any shelf. It was strictly available on request, for a day if even that. I'm still waiting for the perfect, perfect time to open my bottle and try it. Can't imagine it will disappoint.

When KH was released it was an absolute s--tstorm. Every store that got it had a very limited quantity and a one bottle limit was instituted everywhere yet it sold out within hours (if that...). It was never on the shelf as much as people like to say it was "off the shelf." I was lucky to get two at two different stores and then was lucky enough to unexpected win a raffle for a third.

1-bottle limit everywhere around me in the suburbs. One store put it on the shelf in waves over the course of 2 weeks so I was able to get 2.

WHERE? I was only able to get single bottles, drove my ass off and got 3 bottles.

It definitely wasn't at Binny's, which had 2 bottle limits for the most part. I believe many independent liquor shops were selling 4-packs of 2011 BCBS. However KBS had a 1-bottle limit across the board -- and I'll expect the same for this year's BCBS, barring a huge increase in supply.

I'll BM you the name of the shop, or anyone else who's interested.

Thanks! Strange how I got 3 BCBS and 3 KBS.

I got very lucky and found several bottles of KH sitting on a shelf. This was about a month after it was released. I bought two and left the rest for another lucky individual. Since BCBS was mentioned, I had bought a 4pk at a Binny's when it was released late last year. This was all in the city.

Nice! Every store I called split up their KBS 4-packs with a 1 bottle limit, but there were probably a few exceptions with a huge markup and no bottle limit.

Do you live around that area? Any good bars out that way?
