Question for current Bruery Reserve Society Members

This year was a kick ass zip up hoodie!

 

zip up hoodie. I am not a fan of zip up hoodies so I was not too stoked about it. A regular hoodie might be cool though. The 2nd piece of merchandise ended up being Grey Monday. Stoked for this though.

 

I am a trustee for 5 people. I think the hoodie was supposed to be ready in January, but there was a mix up and they didn't get me all my reserve society members hoodies for 3 months. Speaking of which, I still have some of them. Gotta get those out.

 

It's been two different zip up hoodies, one the first year and then one this year, tshirt was the second year as well as a really cool growler cooler. The growler cooler has been the best to date in my opinion.

 

I found the hoodie to be of middling to low quality.

 

Compared to what? It's probably the most well-constructed hoodie I own out of 13 different pieces. It's definitely not the materials, printing quality or workmanship, but I have heard complaints about the sleeves.

It feels nicer than any other beer, sports, or college-related sweatshirt I own.

 

Year one=Blue Hoodie
Year two=Bitchin Growler Bag & less Bitchin T-Shirt
Year Three= Grey Hoodie & Grey Monday
Year Four = ??? Find a psychic my votes a Jacuzzi filled with Black Tuesday. I'd float in that thing squirting BT like Scrooge McDuck did with coins in DuckTales, a woo hoo.

 

I have a Stone Brewing / Neighborhood hoodie that I wear constantly. It seems a lot nicer. My problem with the Bruery one was the fit. The medium was a tad on the small side. The large however, is huge. if you look at the seams on the shoulders, they should actually be ON your shoulders. On me, they're down on my upper arm.

My wife works in promotional advertising (so basically, she makes these types of items) and said it wasn't very good quality.

But if you like it, more power to ya. I wear it sometimes.

 

There were big rumors that Year 3 would involve
a stainless steel growler (ala Societe) and that did not occur perhaps that is still in the works or maybe was only ever a rumor.

 

Yeah, I heard the fit was the biggest complaint, so hopefully they figure it out this year.

I'll tell ya it's leagues better than the one I got recently from Green Flash.

 

I'm finding it hard to get good brewery outerwear honestly. All I want is something in a track jacket type style. Every time I find one, it's for women!

I thought that was going to be the other piece for 2012.

 

I heard it was going to be a roadie case and a poster of some of their beer labels.

 

And with that, a new meme was born.

 

I'm assuming something in the vein of a hoodie, but I'd like something else like a collectible glass/growler. I don't need anymore stinkin' jackets.

 

My impression was always that this was piece #2, which got canned (for some reason) for Grey Monday.

Also, I love the hoodie, it replaced a really terrible one I got in Italy as my go-to sweatshirt. I can see people complaining about fit, but mine fits great. Except that the sleeves are a bit tight, but this is pretty common (my Stanford pullover is the same way, completely different manufacturers).

As for next year, my guess is another piece of clothing, or maybe the sweet growler if they get it worked out.

 

I think the merchandise is just something I am fine that I get, but I don't get particularly excited about it. I find it odd they keep it a secret.
