Question for Hopslam lovers

OMG 9 month old IPA? Don't do it! If you drink that you'll go impotent and you hair will fall out!!!!

 

A reputable beer bar locally always saves a half keg of hopslam for 1 year and does side by sides every year. Have not had the year old but some friends expressed that it wasn't bad. Not sure on the difference between bottled and on tap for time difference

 

It's not bad. I got sick of my stash and nobody wanted to trade for it, so I let it sit. I still have some from the last release. IMO, it's total BS to say it's not drinkable. It has lost a lot of it's hop bite (I'd argue there wasn't that much while fresh either) but it still tastes like a boozy beer with honey. If you like that sort of thing, I have a hard time calling it "bad". I will do a side by side this year as was mentioned in the post above and see what I think then.
