    Curious to know if Wilco Tango Foxtrot had anything to do with the band Wilco. It's been killing me!

    It's hard to imagine that Wilco's Yankee Foxtrot Hotel was not something that came up in discussion were it not the case that it was named in honor. I think the acronym came first, as guy above stated

    Maybe they just used Wilco instead of Whiskey(based on the Phonetic Alphabet) so people wouldn't assume it was aged in Whiskey barrels.
