I am moving to green bay in September. Looking for some advice (not necessarily in this order):
-where to buy craft beer (other than Woodmans)
-are there any good craft beer or craft beer carrying bars?
    -best places to eat
-suggestions of living area or places to avoid living. Willing to live within 30 mins driving of the center of green bay. Or are there any rental agencies you can recommend/vouch for?

    Thanks in advance!

For craft beer Ridgeview Liquor is the way to go. Awesome selection, great prices, and knowledgeable and friendly staff. The only bars I go to for beer, and good food also, are Hinterland (a bit on the expensive side for food) and Titletown Brewery. I highly suggest both. In terms of where to live, well, I don't really think there are any awful places. I recently moved back from Milwaukee and find living in Allouez to be fine.

I have a group of buddies that own a house over on Bay View Drive off of 43...they might be looking for a room mate if you want their info? Three guys in their mid to late twenties all from the U.P. Nice guys, they do smoke some dope, to be completely honest, but they do appreciate craft beer.

I grew up in GB and there aren't any awful places to live. That said, the northeast side is a bit tough as is the near west side (especially south Broadway and vicinity). You can pretty much tell by looking around that you're either in a nice place or a not so nice place. Not a lot of surprises that way.

As far as craft beer goes in GB, if you're coming from Madison (like your profile says) it's going to be a major step down. There isn't much.

I really like Jake's Pizza on Main. Don't expect great beer there, but the pizza is awesome. I go there nearly every time I visit my parents. I can second Titletown for very good beer and food. I've only been to Hinterland for drinks, but people in GB either see it as an oasis or a ridiculously overpriced snooty place. I've never been to it, but looking at their facebook page, it looks like the Lorelei Inn in GB is trying to fill the craft bar void in GB. Ridgeview, as previously noted, is awesome.

I hope some more people chime in with some stuff that I don't know about. I get to GB at least a half dozen times a year and I'm always looking for something new to check out.
