To all those out there who have an interest in brewing your own beer (obvioulsy you are here so that's a great start!) but have yet to take the plunge and make that first batch....

What is keeping you from starting? I know when I got into this hobby there was so much to learn it could be a little overwhelming and a lot of the info was simply dated or a little to inolved for a newbie...

What specifically is holding you back? Would be interested to help others get in to this awesome hobby!
    Thanks.

I am planning on going and grabbing a starter kit from a local home brew store. My biggest worry however is the money. I'm still in university and i need to save to pay for tuition, rent, books, etc. I'm also worried as soon as i start I will want ot upgrade my equipment constantly.

My recommendation for you would be to find a brewing buddy so that you can split the costs.

I am currently reading How To Brew by John Palmer, I still have a way to go with the book. There are so many home brewing kits out there, do I purchase the ever so famous deluxe version or go with the simple starter kit?, eventually I will need all the items in the deluxe versions. Also whats a good brand when it comes to starter kits?, I dont want to over spend. as I'm sure most beginners do, buy the best out there and they are not using it right. links would be awesome, or any guidance on what I should buy. Thank you very much
