Ha, that's exactly what I did this past winter. I received a Goose Island Root Beer as an extra, and my 8 month pregnant wife at the time loved it.

Extras are extras no matter what they are. If the person receiving doesn't like root beer I'm sure it would take mere seconds to find someone he/she knows who would. :grinning:

It's not different than when I sent a bottle of BBQ sauce as an extra in a box. It's awesome getting something out of the ordinary.

I once sent Masterski a root beer as an extra. I figure, what extra do you send a guy who's tried every other beer on the planet?

I would be ok with it. I don't get many extras that I can take to work and drink with my lunch.

Thats an awesome idea! I have a local place that makes an amazing sasparilla soda. Interdasting...

I think that would be awesome! My girlfriend would definitely claim it, but hey that's cool.

Might be a good way to label your package contents and explain any sloshing that might occur.

Non-beer extras are always enjoyable. Unless it's anthrax. Then it's a toss up.

agreed, however, i'd be bummed to get something i can buy locally. extras are cool, but extras without any thought/effort (ie, something i get locally or have reviewed and hated) suck the life out of a box.

The only way I would be upset is if "extras" we're part of the trade. Those aren't really extras, though. I would actually really like to get a root beer or something different like that as an extra.

That'd be awesome! I see extras as something (anything) unexpected that you receive, and non-beer extras are great too.
