With Captain Lawrence now entering the Philadelphia market this week I was interested in finding out how often some of their beers are released in bottles. I'm really excited they have entered the Philly market. I've always heard such great things about their beers, and unfortunately I've never had any.

How often are these beers released in bottle? Are they brewery releases only or are they distributed? If distributed, are they pretty limited? Appreciate the help in advance.

    Flaming Fury
    Rosso E Marrone
    Cuvee De Castleton
    Barrel Select Black

    Cheers and thanks,
    Jeff

The only one of those that hit distro was Rosso. And it hasn't been released in close to two years. Flaming Fury is available at the brewery Wednesday (4 bottles per, 114 total bottles). I believe Barrel Select Black, much like Mother Barrel were both one time deals with some Soured Nor' Easter, that they let sit and then bottled (it was mostly an accident I believe, though someone can correct me on that one). Most of their limited releases are brewery only, and recently have been silent. CdC hasn't been released in years (though I heard rumors of it sitting in barrels), and this most recent release of Flaming Fury is only the second time being brewed. Hope this helps!

That helps. Thanks. Is Rosso an annual release? If so, what time of the year is that usually released?

Rosso is not an annual release. I heard from a CL employee at Sour'd that CdC is definitely in barrels.

How difficult would it be for me to get a cab at the Metro North station, if I could conceivably leave work on Wednesday early to try and hit the release? Any help appreciated. Do not have access to a car that day.

Wow, less than 30 people will get Flaming Fury if each buys a full allotment? Ouch.

I suppose they just want to get rid of it as quickly as they can. Of course this would be 2nd time they are selling it to the public.

I'm actually driving by on Wednesday but coming from a funeral with my wife and doubt very highly that she will want to race to get there and get on line with the high probability of getting shut out (people will likely line up early). Would love to try this one but this type of chase is getting tiresome. I blinked and missed Zapata Bot release last week because I wasn't glued to facebook and couldn't just abandon my job in a wink of an eye. Enjoy brothers and sisters.
