Question on colder area breweries

    I was watching Dark Horse Nation this evening and I noticed how they had 2 fermentors outside. Since they live in a colder area, I was wondering how they ferment in such cold conditions. I know some brewery's do have fermentors outside, but with areas extremely cold or extremely hot, I just wonder how they have proper fermentation. I probably sound like an idiot, but it just seems a bit puzzling to me

    I didn't watch the show last night to see what you are asking about, but could the equipment that you saw have been grain hoppers?
