Sorry if this was brought up already but i, like most people, drink heady exclusively from the can. I dont do this with any other ipa, though. With the rationale kimmich uses in the instructions, why dont we follow that idea with every single ipa?

I've never had HT before, unfortunately, but I've been noticing recently that I actually enjoy my everyday IPAs (DirtWolf, HopDevil, Stone IPA) better from the bottle than the glass.

It gives the beer a gimmick. I had heady on draft last week and it wasn't poured into a can. I'm sure kimmich would still approve. I drink heady from a glass whenever a glass is an option.

Drinking a HT right now from the can, my preference, same with Abrasive. IMO it contains everything and keeps it tight for lack of a better word.

Try it both ways, and do whatever you like best. I guess that goes for everything else, too .

I think so too; Just lasts better once it's opened. Freshly poured does seem more aromatic, but just a few minutes and most of that aromas gone.

As for "why don't we with every IPA"? Many of us do  from sessions and doubles, to reds and blacks. Cheers

I drink many of them from the bottle/can. Mystic Mama, Trail Head and Columbus IPA to name a few...

Well, there's boiled shrimp, fried shrimp, sauteed shrimp, popcorn shrimp, baked shrimp, grilled shrimp, shrimp and grits, hell, I guess there's a million ways to eat shrimp. Drinking great beer out of a can (as opposed to just regular old beer) is a great pleasure that takes me back into time, making me wish only that it had happened sooner.

I am not really sure most people drink Heady straight from the can. I also think too many people put far too much stock into these supposed "instructions" on the can. The character on the can is drinking from a glass, they also sell Heady glassware. Mixed signals, no?

I drink a fair amount of Two Hearted from the can, primarily due to the increased portability and convenience that the can provides. If I was looking for the optimal drinking experience, I would pour the beer (as I would for Heady).

I drink Centennial and Two Hearted from a can now.
Not an IPA, but I drink Orval from the bottle, but I will pour Duvel and most other Belgians.
It's all in what YOU like, or in the case of HT, how the brewer intends for you to drink it.

Just be glad the can doesn't tell you what to do with your firstborn.

I like drinking out of cans...better for the environment, less glasses to wash and more portable. For me some beers taste batter in a can. I've been able to have Heady Topper in a can and on draft side by side and IMO the can blows away the draft.
