    Hi All,

I have a question regarding my #MABEER passport, I received a notification that it is going to expire. I have visited about 30 breweries since I downloaded the AP.

Does this mean that the 30+ breweries, I hit won't count towards the swag when it expires? I'm not interested in starting from scratch, I have both the ME and VT passports is this unique to MA?

    Thanks for the communities insight.

    Cheers,

    Hello Hardfordwhaler,

The goal of the MBG passport program is to encourage patrons to continue to visit breweries year after year and see what new offerings are available in their tap rooms. As new breweries emerge there will be plenty of tap rooms to explore, and craft beer to enjoy.

The program is meant to be competitive while also driving traffic and tourism to the state. Your stamps aren't gone forever, they are archived under the "expired" stamp tab within your profile so you will still have a list of where you've been - they just can't be applied to winning a prize. Those breweries will have to be re-visited.

This free app is meant to be fun. You drink local beer, visit cool places, and can win prizes - like a beer pairing dinner with special guest brewers from across the Commonwealth.

Expiring stamps are not unique to beer trail programs. However, the sheer size of Maine and Vermont, and the distance needed to travel between breweries is why those state guild's have chosen not to adopt this model.

I hope you are enjoying the other features the app provides, despite your frustration with the stamps resetting. We are grateful to you for being an #MABeer supporter - If you have any other questions, issues or feedback, please feel free to email Katie Stinchon at [email protected].

    Cheers,
    The MBG
