When was it or why is it against the trading rules to look for someone to pick up a bottle that you won in a brewery lottery if you're offering to trade for the bottle? i.e Upland Sour Reserve 2. My post just got flagged as inappropriate?!??

it's against the rules to look for proxies and such.

that said, it could very well be that someone misinterpreted the rules and flagged your post inappropriately. that said, posting a new thread about it is the wrong way to go. rather, you should probably

    1) PM todd and explain why your post is not inappropriate, or
    2) mention your thread inside someone else's thread so you can get some private conversations started up and get what you need done done, rather than saying, "hey my thread was deleted!" which will surely result in your new thread being deleted.

It is against the rules. This has been argued time and time again and it is unlikely that it will ever change. It makes no sense at all, but the rules are the rules.

I just use anotheR Beer site for that type of stuff.

answer: it was a precognitive result of vague posting titles.

they stopped allowing people to do proxy posts bc some were asking for money or bottles in return, which is against the rules. i think it really blew out of control during BT11 and after that it was pretty much over with.

I think it was jackie o's and upland that started the fiasco. Saw lots of 'You pay for your bottles, and my bottles, and your shipping, and send me free beer for doing this too' type posts.

But yeah, do it behind the scenes or something, not in the forums.
