I do, and have never noticed ill effects. When I've added it to carboys with cold beer it usually takes about an hour to clear (Its cool that you can watch it drop yeast in real time), so when added to a keg I assume it all comes out in the first pint with all the yeast and haze it binds to.

If the beer is a really cloudy mess (this usually happens when brewing an IPA on a tight schedule) I'll use PVPP and Biofine, which takes about a 3-5 days to clear (PVPP takes a while to drop), but again it all comes out in the first pint or two (PVPP literally is powdery beads, so its noticeable in the mouthfeel and is visible).

Cool, thanks for elaborating. I have a German Pils that I dry hopped and it's so damn cloudy. I made 10 gallons, dry hopped 5, left five w/o DHs, and the un DH'ed version is crystal clear already. It's already carbed up, so I was wondering if you have ever added biofine to a keg that was already carbed and pouring? I have an event in a week or so and I'd like for it to clear up; for whatever reason, it doesnt look like it's gonna clear up on its own!

Marc, how did you dry hop your German Pilsner? I dry hop my pilsners (Bohemian Pilsner, CAP) all the time; I add dry hops to the secondary (carboy) and lager for 6-7 weeks. The beers always come out crystal clear; all of the hop material & other stuff is on the bottom of the carboy.

    Cheers!

Yes, have done that many times, works like a charm. Should be clear within 24-48 hrs provided you use enough (2 tbsp will usually do it). I've even went as far as dropping a single drop of biofine in competition bottles of beers that wouldn't clear.

Just dry hopped it for 5 days in primary (pellets). I just wanted to play around a little with a tried and true recipe of mine. Seems like it's taking forever to clear, just want to speed it up if possible.

Thanks, man! I'm going to drop it in when I get home. Cheers!

I do have some BioFine to play with for the next brews. Local pros have said it is great stuff.
