Hi everyone. Can anyone provide any info or hints at getting overnight accommodations at Tap NY? I searched some of the lodges there several times many months ago and could never find anything available for 2016. I would like to attend next year, and would like stay somewhere within walking distance to Tap NY. Thanks! Bill
If you want to stay within walking distance you have only a few options. Sedgwick House, Hunter Inn & Scribner's Lodge. I have never stayed at any of them so I have no recommendations or preference. There is also a very nice, relatively new hotel on the mountain, Kaatskill Mountain Club. There are a few more places down the road on 23A but definitely not within walking distance.
Maybe bring a bicycle with you when you go-no chance at DWI and able to stay further from the venue??
I will say that the taxis up there are somewhat reasonably priced, and not awful, if you stay in Tannersville or somewhere outside of town. The hotel on the mountain is nice, but it's ridiculously expensive, imo.
