Questions re: linking youtube clips

    I love the new forum feature that allows us to post pics. The LNBA thread is much more entertaining when I can "see" what others are drinking.

    However a new trend has emerged whereby people post the pic of their beer and then video clips of the music they're currently listening to (usually in the LNBA threads). I'm wondering if this goes too far, and wondering if this isn't going to get worse with not just music but other videos (sports, etc.). I could understand a beer video, for example, because this is a beer site, but what about music and other off-topic vids?

    there's currently like 5 vids out of near 100 LNBA posts- too much? It's not like they auto-play or anything.

    I don't have a problem with it at all. In fact, I enjoy them. What is LNBA if not a slightly off topic thread about what you're doing while drinking whatever you're drinking.

    Keep it about beer folks, I don't need to know about your horrible taste in music as well. Your horrible taste in beer is just about enough.

    I actually enjoy it in those LNBA threads. It keeps it light and fun. It's always cool to see what other people are drinking and listening to as the odds are I'm doing the same.

    I guess music videos are fine, but don't try posting other stuff from Youtube. I got flagged for posting a clip from The Office and my comment was removed for inappropriate content. Don't really know why, but it wasn't a big enough deal for me to raise a stink about it. Anyway I dig the music in LNBA threads. It has showed me that I got some fellow BAs listening to the same stuff as me and sparks good conversation.

    I think as long as it's nothing offensive, it's all in good fun. Flag stuff that's inappropriate if you feel like it, but these forums could use a little more excitement every once in a while. Beats the hell out of arguing Pliny vs. X, or Phoenix vs. San Diego :wink:
