No one said $15 is "cheap".

the point is just that it's an expensive beer. it's also a very good beer, and not the kind of thing you can get on the shelf every day.

i'm not saying "pay whatever people ask!" i'm just saying that sticker shock at (gasp!) a $20 375ml bottle is a little misplaced given

    1) $15 is an expensive fucking 375ml bottle,

    2) this beer is as good as cantillon specialty beers that disappear immediately at a higher price,

    3) due to (2), tilquin beers like this aren't going to be available on shelves for long (unless people charge $20/375ml!),

    4) if bang for your buck is at issue, i can guarantee you that no $20 beer is better than the best $2 beer, unless you have no taste at all or just love the taste of expensive--you chase unique, expensive sour beer because you can afford it and you like trying different things (or, you'll pay 500% more for something that's 20% better--which is actually a pretty reasonable thing to do).

The one time I had a hold card at Julio's, I was lucky to be able to use it for a Fou Foune. They charged me $30.

Would love to know why this beer is 6 or 7 bucks more than a freaking Fou around the state.
