I am looking for guick connects for hoses for a wort chiller and for pumps. Anything other than the $15/set ones @ MoreBeer? Thanks for the help.

I'm not sure what size you're working with, but my next move would be to take some measurments to Lowes or Home Depot. The brass stuff is still pretty expensive. I settled for buying 2 sets of plastic quick connects. They are garden hose thread and I think they were $2 a crack. I remove them during the boil and screw them in place immediately after KO. I expect to break at least one of them next year.

The Cam and Groove ones are nice, but kind of pricey in SS. What do you mean by a "set"?

Male and female polysulphone Q.D.'s from NB will run you about $25 a set. I have them on my pump and mash tun and I have no complaints. If your chiller is an immersion chiller and the Q.D.'s wont be in contact with any wort, I would go with cheapo home depot garden hose Q.D.'s for that application.

Love my camlocks. Have them on both pumps in and out, HLT, Mash Tun, Boil Kettle and plate chiller. Yes everything was expensive but what a time saver and easy to use and clean. Great investment

Not pricey at all. Especially compared to tri clamps which are the only thing I have seen that might be better for certain applications. They are far superior to the snap locks I used to use and at a fraction of the price.

I love mine...but at close to a "C note" for a set on a pretty basic setup is not cheap in my book.
    Each connection is 2 fittings (~$10) x 6 hoses + CFC (2) + 3 vessels (3) + immersion chiller (1)
Could have got away with fewer hoses, but the extras are nice.

I don't have anything else to compare them to as I bought them right out the gate when I went to a 10 gal. system.

    Cheers.
