    Ah shit good looks on Coles Road. Wanted to hit them on my last trip a couple months ago but just didn’t have the time. Good looks on the bottle shop recs too, much appreciated.

    Oh man, I appreciate the absolute shit out of this offer and if it was just me or me and my girl I’d take you up on this 14 times out of 10. But I’ll be with 4-5 buddies and with us not knowing timeframes or even breweries exactly I don’t wanna be holding them or you up waiting.

    Seriously thank you though and I WILL take you up on that in the future.

    Fully agree that OEC is worth the detour but we actually did hit them on our last CT trip when we were in the Danbury area.

    Speaking of New Britain breweries and pizza... Five Churches pizza is ridiculously good

    Sounds like all the good recommendations have been stated already. I can't think of anywhere else along your way that would be worth stopping at.

    HOWEVER if you want to stop at an amazing bakery in New Haven, stop at 'G Cafe Bakery' on Chapel Street. It's the best I've had since being in France (and they know a thing or two over there).

    Yes, you're correct. They are at 12% now. They used to have their own location but no longer. 12% usually has some of their cans available to go, they're not always on tap there.

    good looks on the bakery! gonna be at 12% tmo morning for their bottle drop so we’re definitely gonna stop by there to fill up.

    This thread is a piece of crap. I can't tell you how hungry and thirsty I am now. New Haven potato bacon pizza? I'm a complete NY pizza snob, and that shiz is the best.

    I love mashed potato pies, Little City in Simsbury (sorry, Avon now) makes a fabulous one! Goes well with beer too, duh!

    just stopped by G Cafe and can confirm it’s great, their cronuts are absolutely delicious. also got a BLT with cheese and it was top notch

    Just came here to say that Fox Farm is worth whatever inconvenience it might cause and that Tolli's is the best pizza of them all.

    This gave me a chuckle. I'll admit, I am not from New Haven, but my wife lived there for a while and knows the good spots to hit. We've been to the big name joints down there and I just can't help but always gravitate back to the sausage and rabe white pizza at Tolli's.

    If you are looking for another stop on the way from new haven out to 12% right on the same road as 12% State St. is No Worries Brewery. About a mile or less short of 12%. It is a solid brewery and worth a stop if looking to keep visit tight. There are better stops of course in New Haven county of course but its right on the way. Cheers.
