I'll be in Vegas all next week. I've read just about every thread here with Vegas in the title - and they're obviously - all about Vegas. But I'm looking to visit breweries outside of Vegas. Rent a car, take a trip, enjoy a brewery (or 3) and go back. 5 hours to San Diego and 9 hours to Russian River is just a bit too much. Are there any good breweries within a 2-3 hour drive from Vegas? Thanks everybody for any info.
Nope, Orange County or San Diego are going to be the closet. You can get there in under 5 hours depending on how you drive, but not much. Phoenix is your next best bet but that's about the same.
You could get to Hangar 24 in about 3.5 hours. Not sure if it is worth the trip as I have never been.
Nothing to consider outside of Vegas in the 2-3 hour range. However, Vegas is home to a few decent breweries and brewpubs. In Boulder City is Boulder City Brewing. Joseph James, is probably best Vegas brewery IMO, but they do not have a tasting room... find their beers around town. Downtown Las Vegas has Banger Brewery, which is B- (at best) in my book. Big Dogs brewpub is pretty cool. Freaking Frog for beer bar. Depending on time of departure, you can get to North Orange County / LA county in 3.5 hrs... lots to consider in that area if you are willing to make the drive. Bruery alone is worth the trip!
you could always grab a beer and check out my art work at banger brewery. Ill also be doing a bunch more art starting this week inside there.
