So my uncle invited me to go on a business trip with him to Manhattan today where we will be having some lunch. I was wondering what the food/beer combo there is in the area.

Also looking for a good bottle shop as im sure we will have time to hit one before we head back home. My uncle loves to "mix a six" so preferably one that will let him do so.

thanks for the last minute help guys!

manhattan's a big place and literally thousands of bar and restaurant options.

bottle shops are more limited, but also numerous: Good Beer, Top Hops, City Swiggers, New Beer, Whole Foods on Bowery

check @Kanger's beer map at bedstuybeerguy.com

I would probably suggest Fool's Gold for the best combo of a good beer/food spot and accessibility to great bottle shops. You're <5 min walking distance of Top Hops, WF Bowery, and New Beer. They also have a sandwich/beer lunch special every day I believe.

One Mile House has great beer/food but I think they open at 3pm.

Pony Bar is close by there...I want to say ~45th and 10th which generally has a good selection and a decent (albeit somewhat limited) food menu. And I believe Beer Culture has a good selection in that area (45th between 8th and 9th), but I think is quite expensive.

Hell's Kitchen Brewtique is close by there for bottles. 532 9th Ave near 39th.

Also District Tap house on 38th between 7th and 8th ave. They have food and good beer.
