A couple of quick things that don't really fit on any other thread. First up, Flyers is opening a second location, at the Skagit Airport. From Kendall: http://www.washingtonbeerblog.com/flyers-brewery-moving-skagit/ . Also in that piece are some notes on the brewing program getting started at Skagit Valley College. And, Mike Armstrong, who owns Skagit River, is in the process of opening a new brewery, Farmstrong. Guess what the focus will be? From FB: https://www.facebook.com/farmstrongbrewing?fref=ts . Website under construction: http://www.farmstrongbrewing.com/
Where is Farmstrong going to be? I took my wife on a Skagit Valley food tour on Saturday for Mother's Day weekend. I kept hoping I'd stumble on some unknown farmhouse brewery out there in the Bow-Edison area.
In the old Sears warehouse building, not quite downtown MV. IIRC, it's that group of buildings on the left (if Northbound) side of I-5 just before the downtown MV exit. I saw a picture on FB earlier today, but couldn't find it when I made this post.
@distantmantra , sorry about this, but it was best I could do. It's about 40 posts down on this FB page. Where, incidentally, you'll also learn there was a shoplifting at the local Goodwill store. https://www.facebook.com/SkagitBreaking?pnref=story
