Quick NYC visit, need suggestions.

    Ill be driving to NYC to help a friend on Saturday taking 95 from CT. If there is one shop off the highway or even in NYC I must visit, what is it? Is there any BCBS left in the city (doubt it)?

    Not that convenient, but if you want BCBS, Whole Foods Columbus Circle (60th St. @ Broadway) still has at least 3 cases @$26/4-pack.

    If you're coming from CT I would take a quick stop at in Port Chester, NY at Port Chester Beer Distributors. They have a wild selection, and I am often surprised even though I'm a regular. Not sure about BCBS but worth a shot.

    Good beer is a great place to grab a local pint, and see a very good selection of American craft.

    New beer is a giant warehouse that is either feast or famine. Stay away from anything where freshness is a concern.

    Tons of BCBS at WF Bowery as well.

    And you could take a detour east for a bit on 84, get off at Brewster, exit 19, and also hit DeCicco's, which is literally right next to the exit. One of the best bottle selections anywhere, and they have a pub with great selection in store, and do counter pressure growler fills.

    Indubitable suggestion, my good man. Between the two I would say you've got the best selection north of the city.

    yes / no. if you're down in that area, it's best to hit good beer, top hops, and whole foods bowery. if you want to go to another store for fun, go to malt and mold. avoid new beer.
