    Not really. I drink 2 cases of beer a week myself, ever week.

    Depends on the beer. I wouldn't normally buy a case of IPA, or another beer that needs to be consumed fresh, unless I planned to share it with other people. I don't see a problem with buying a case for personal consumption if it's a stout, or other beer that ages well.

    Funny you mention this, because my distributor just got me a case of Enjoy By. I have three bottles of Enjoy By in the fridge, and I'm picking up my case tomorrow. Challenge accepted.

    I bought a case of the 5.17.13 batch and went back for more before 5.17...I figured out my limit on those were 3.5 before I was so drunk I could barely make it to my bed lol, not the best choice for a session beer:stuck_out_tongue:

    To the OP, a case is generally regarded as the unit of sale, at least in PA, that a beer distibutor can sell in their store. Usually 24 12 oz. bottles or 12 22 oz. bottles is what I see here, but it is basically whatever packaging the factory provides that is not a broken-down case (e.g. a six pack carrier is not a case and not for sale in a distributor).

    I buy and consume cases of IPA all by myself consistently. Enjoy By not so much because it costs like $70/case, but if it were priced more reasonably I would have no trouble drinking my way through that. I drink IPAs in volume and cases are much cheaper than continually buying singles/four packs/six packs.
    I like to have at least 4 or 5 different IPAs in stock at all times and start to feel uncomfortable when the supply drops below that.
