Quick Question re: Bissell Brothers

    How much is a case of The Substance? It looks like Baby Genius will also be available when I'm going through next week, so cost on that would be appreciated too.

    I'm getting married up on MDI and some of the beers our caterer thought she could get fell through, so I'm now thinking of picking up a case of each for our reception. I'll be heading through Portland on Wednesday and would be there right at Noon when they open.

    If you're in line already at noon you'll be in and out in roughly 30 mins tops (depending on line spot) with a full allocation of each no problem. Kee an eye on local bottle shops social media as well and you may be able to score a few extra 4-packs to add to your haul. Wednesday has been the most low key day lately for lines so should be pretty quick and easy.

    Bier cellar has been had alot of kegs for sale from BB lately. Might be worth giving them a call when your in town, good luck!

    When visiting bissell can you get samples and pints. If you can get pints do you have to wait in the same line as can sales.

    Yes they do pints. And yes you have to wait in the same line. Sometimes they will do a cash only can line from the garage door. Everything else is from the tap room.

    ^beat me to it. Bring cash and you might get through faster. Then head next door and (if you're lucky) Foundation will be canning Epiphany. Buy as much as they let you.

    I typically go on Saturdays and hop into the cash-only line to expedite things. I went for the first time in a few months last Friday 7/3 and there was no cash-only line =( Is that the new norm or do they limit the cash-only line to Saturday's?

    Do yourself a favor and spend your time and money at Foundation next door. The beer is infinitely better.

    I was thinking about getting a little of both, but Foundation isn't open on Wednesdays according to their website.

    My lineup for both a Friday party and Saturday reception is shaping up:

    1 Case Nightshift Whirlpool 16 oz cans
    1 Case Baby Genius 16 oz cans
    1 Case The Substance 16 oz. cans
    2 Cases Cambridge Brewing Company Remain in Light
    3 Cases Homebrew (Hoppy Wheat Pale Ale ~5.2% abv)

    Its nice to be mostly cans for the leftovers to go to good use on the honeymoon!

    I'm pretty sure you can buy just a 4 pack if that's all that want, when you get to the counter you tell them what you want.
