Just got back. Thanks for the tips. I have to say, I would like to throw my full support behind 4 Hands and their employees. We had a great time there and one of guys behind the bar went out of his way for two strangers in a completely awesome way.

If yoy feel like driving on hwy 40 a little further west, Annie Gunns in Chesterfield is definately worth a stop. Youll have to make reservations, of course, but its worth it. They specialize in using local, farm fresh ingredients.

    Cheers
    Tom

Ok folks I'll be in St Louis myself here shortly. I will be going to a Cardinals game , The zoo , Grants Farm and Six Flags so any bottle shops I can hit up in those areas would be great. Also is there any bottle shops across the River that carry beers sold in Illinois and not Missouri? I know I do pretty good at the state lines around here. I would be willing to drive 30 miles or so across the state line to buy some quality brew. I know Oskar Blues is limited in Illinois but I would really like to get a case of Deviant Dales

Couldn't reccomend Bailee's range enough, great burgers, tap selection, and the in house ice cream. Hit up Schlafly taproom on the way back to the hotel. Definitely a good first day.

I see what you did there. Comet coffee began the day, went and explored the arch and riverfront, lunch at local harvest, drove to meramac caverns, came back and went to Perennial(shoot out between them and 4 Hands for favorite so far), then dinner at Sidney St. cafe, which was awesome, except the espresso which was not nearly thick enough to be called espresso.

Today, tower grove farmers market, sump coffee, Cahokia mounds, boggarts, I tap, Cherokee lemp antique row, and probably mission taco's. Who knows after that.

i have to agree with joshbrews, you are rockin st. louis pretty hard, if you are thinking about mission taco though, which is down in the delmar loop, you might want to also think about Pi if you are into pizza, and jilly's is a really good cupcake place, guy that bakes there won some cupcake reality show competition, twice if im remembering right

Thanks guys, enjoying some brews at civil life right now. Trying to figure out dinner now Pi is an option, mission, salt, pastaria, not sure yet. Someone at 4 hands had Jilly's when I was there and the bartender also recommended it.

It's either 4 hands or Perennial again to end my time here.
