We recently returned from a quick trip to visit family staying in a small town south of Torino. Had some wine and a few pretty good beers.

First tip, remember stores close earlier than here. We picked up pizzas and were going to get beers/drinks/dessert at the grocery store, but missed it by less than 1/2 hour on our first night after exploring Torino in the heat.

Next day, we drove to Como with our trusty Fiat wagon- we took the ferry to see Lake Comi and explore Moltrasio in the heat. We needed to purchase something so that the bathroom could be used, so…

Birrificio Lariano- Falesia. Pretty decent bock that hit the spot after the heat.

We wised up and hit a grocery store on the way out of Como to pick up a couple of beers to go with dinner-

Forst VIP Pils- pretty decent pils

And a surprisingly good beer made by Peroni now, but formerly from Puglia - Raffo

Pretty light, low bitterness, but quite refreshing
