Finally made it up after wanting to do same for two years. Stayed at Little River State Park in a cabin this Sunday thru Thursday- awesome but unless you want to take a taxi or ride bikes (an adventure in itself) it's a bit far away from the action. Drank at The Reservoir (most kid friendly), Prohibition Pig (great, but small portions I though- but I always think that), Blackback (awesome tacos, great place) and the Trapp Lodge (way worth the side trip). Had a hard time finding HT, always in the wrong place the wrong day but managed to find a four pack most everywhere. Ended buying a case outside of Burlington for $97 with tax and everything- never again will I spend that. Did not see a drop of Lawson's in town the entire time, but managed to buy Ava at Warren on the way home. Great time, will do it again.

Forgot to mention that we drove up to HF on Wednesday. Don't know why everyone says this place is in the middle of nowhere, the whole state is like that. I live almost has far off the main road so I guess I am used to it. Got there at 12:30 and had an hour and a half wait. Not bad if you spend the $5 for the tasting. Thought the prices were pretty good, $15 for a growler fill of something world class is not expensive IMHO.
Also if you like history Little River State Park was the sight of the Waterbury CCC camp before WW2 and with a little research you can walk the entire camp and know what was where.

How was the line at HF when you left? Still an hour and a half you think or longer?

Glad you had an overall successful trip! What store charged you $97 for a case of Heady?

I think they charged us the six four pack price, they might have had a cheaper case price but I think there were idiots on both side of the counter at the time. The butcher shop outside of Burlington.

I'm thinking about making a trip to Shelburne some time in the summer to pick up some Heady. Would they be in stock? How much $? Any information is greatly appreciated. I would be coming from I-87 in New York. Shelburne is the closest place to sell heady according to their website. If there was a closer place I would go there. I just have one mission in VT and that's to bring home Heady.
