Has anybody been there? I don't see any reviews on BA, nor do I think I've seen it on any of the "Heading to Austin this weekend, where should I go?" threads. I noticed that Circle is having a glass night there tonight and was just curious if anyone had any thoughts.

Looking at their facebook page, I see they have some pictures of some pretty awesome taps, including H&G Greenhouse. Plenty of bottles/cans and growlers to go. 11th street isn't a hipstery area, is it? I may have to give this place a shot.

Yeah its pretty great. Beer selection is good, not great. All drafts are $5. East 11th is super hip, but hipsters aren't going to bother you.

I have mixed feelings on the place. They have a decent selection of bottles + taps. Breakfast tacos were very mediocre. I've yet to try the other food. Biggest complaint - takes forever to check out. There always seem to be a lot of people working, but hardly anyone giving a shit about checking out customers.

As far as the H&G Greenhouse - I think that was a one time special tap night. I haven't seen it there beyond that day. They do growler fills, too, but I'm unsure on the prices.

Thanks guys. I resorted to Yelp reviews which seemed to mention hipsters quite frequently. They don't bother me unless they're unreasonably loud about how much they know about beer. I guess I'll do a little recon this weekend by just picking up a bottle or two.

Complaining about there being hipsters in East Austin is akin to complaining about there being zebras in Africa. It's to be expected.. It's their natural home.

There weren't that many when I lived on E 6th about 7 years ago. I guess I need to start studying their migratory patterns.

If you're in East Austin, E1G is a great spot to stop by, too
